Pancreatic Cancer Specialty Care Center


Research

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the United States. There is a critical need for innovative approaches to enhance early diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

Ongoing studies at the Pancreatic Cancer Specialty Care Center include:

  • investigational chemotherapy
  • radiation therapy, including: CyberKnife, Trilogy, image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
  • vaccines for pancreatic cancer
  • innovative chemoembolization
  • use of new viruses to destroy tumors
  • genetic research to improve early detection methods
