Melanoma / Skin Cancer Awareness Month Resources

The following cancer information resources should be used for informational and educational purposes only. All specific medical questions about your health needs should be presented to your own health care provider.

Monthly Free Skin Cancer Screenings

Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer. But if diagnosed early, it is almost 100 percent curable. The UPMC Cancer Centers is offering monthly free skin cancer screenings. More Information

  • Third Friday of every Month
    Hillman Cancer Center, Second Floor
    12 – 2:00 p.m.

    An authoritative source of information about one of the deadliest skin cancers. MelanomaNet is an online patient education service of the American Academy of Dermatology.
  • Melanoma Patients' Information Page
    Designed for patients and clinical investigators, includes published results of clinical trials in chemotherapy, vaccines, and gene therapy, a database of research abstracts and a bulletin board for FAQs.
