Patient Interviews

Current and former patients share their experiences with prostate cancer.

  • Paul is a 72-year-old male who was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer in 1996. He received brachytherapy (prostate seed implants) and is currently in remission. Transcript from interview conducted 12/12/00.

  • Frank is a 68-year-old male who was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 1990. He has received a variety of treatments, including hormone therapy and chemotherapies. He continues to receive treatment to keep his prostate cancer under control. Transcript from interview conducted on 10/30/00.

  • Jerry is a 64-year-old male who was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer in 1995. He received a nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy and is currently in remission. Transcript from interview conducted on 10/30/00.

  • Joe is a 54-year-old male who was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer in 1998. He received a non-nerve sparing radical prostatectomy and is currently in remission. Transcript from interview conducted on 10/25/00.
