Herbert Zeh, MD, received his MD in 1994 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His post-graduate training consisted of an internship and General Surgical Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He completed a research fellowship in surgical oncology under Dr. Steven Rosenberg at the National Cancer Institute and then returned to The Johns Hopkins Hospital where he completed the Society of Surgical Oncology and Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery programs under Dr. John Cameron.
Dr. Zeh has received numerous awards during his career including the Eli Goldstein, MD Award for Highest Honors in first three years of medical school, the Anthony Imbembo Resident Teaching Award. He received the prestigious ASCO career development award and the Society of Surgical Oncology James Ewing Research Award, given to promising junior faculty. Dr. Zeh is Board Certified in General and Oncologic Surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and active member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, ASCO and AACR.
He has numerous peered reviewed articles, reviews, invited published papers books, and books. Dr. Zeh currently is Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology. He serves as Co-Director of the UPMC Pancreatic Cancer Center and Co-Director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute G.I. Oncology Program.
Dr. Lembersky is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the University of Pittsburgh school of medicine. Trained at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now part of Drexel University), Dr. Lembersky completed a residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Lembersky has held an appointment in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine since 1987.
A noted researcher, some of his recent publications have compared methods of chemotherapy delivery in colon cancer patients, and investigated innovative treatment regimens for treating GI cancer. He is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
