Office of Government Relations

The Office of Government Relations serves as the liaison between UPMC Cancer Centers / University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) and state and federal policymakers. Government Relations aims to increase awareness of the cancer centers' advanced treatment technologies, latest research, educational outreach and cutting edge clinical care while emphasizing the need for adequate funding to support the numerous programs UPMC employs in the fight against cancer. UPMC/UPCI also advocates for legislation that supports our mission of bringing high-quality therapies to patients, working to make cancer a treatable disease, and cancer prevention.
