Why Volunteer?

"I love to watch and listen as the patients lose themselves in their crafts: painting, laughing, telling stories, helping each other. Joy fills the room, and I feel so blessed to be a part of it."

Daffodil Days 2010

The 2010 Daffodil Days

In 2009, 130 UPMC/Pitt employees helped coordinate daffodil orders in their departments. As a result, nearly $47,000 was raised and was the largest amount given by an organization that participated in the ACS Greater Pittsburgh Unit’s fundraiser!

The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) / UPMC Cancer Centers Volunteer & Community Services is once again coordinating the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days sales for UPMC and Pitt staff in Allegheny County. Please read below for details on the products available, order instructions and delivery information.
