Pittsburgh Wine Festival — May 6-8, 2008

The sixth installment of the Pittsburgh Wine Festival will again bring the excitement of what has been called “One of the Top-10 Wine Festivals in the Country.”

The Pittsburgh Wine Festival will host some of the world’s finest wine-makers, chefs, entertainers and wine educators. Proceeds will benefit The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI). Details and tickets will be available beginning December 1, 2007.

Exclusive Private Home Dinners will also again be held in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Wine Festival. They will take place in various, dazzling homes around the Pittsburgh region. Chefs and notable vintners will create a unique and delightful dining experience for select guests. For the past three years, the UPCI has been the beneficiary of the Pittsburgh Wine Festival, with proceeds directed toward cancer research. The UPCI is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Western Pennsylvania, serving a population of more than six million.

Pittsburgh Wine Festival — April 21-28, 2007

The 2007 Pittsburgh Wine Festival successfully raised an outstanding $1.2 million. The festival events raised more than $230,000 for the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute and the Magee Womens Hospital Foundation plus $1 million for the Stanley M. Marks, M.D. Endowed Research Fund. Approximately 3,000 people became more educated about wine and saluted the wonderful products of 125 wineries from around the world.
