The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) and UPMC Cancer Centers work in tandem to provide the most compassionate, sophisticated care to cancer patients from the tri-state region and beyond.
With its broad network of community cancer physicians - and the Hillman Cancer Center serving as its flagship site - UPMC Cancer Centers represents the clinical arm of all outpatient and inpatient cancer programs: the services through which we offer patients the latest advances in detection, prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
The hub for scientific and clinical research activities, including clinical trials, is UPCI. UPCI researchers are making important discoveries in their laboratories and working diligently to translate their scientific findings into viable treatments for patients.
As long as cancer continues to be a major health care concern in this community and beyond, there will be a commensurate need for philanthropy to ensure that UPMC Cancer Centers and UPCI remain world-class institutions with state-of-the-art equipment, innovative medical programs, effective screening and prevention technologies, and compassionate support systems for patients and their families. The areas outlined below represent various giving opportunities available for our organizations.
