While the majority of cancer patients receive treatment on an outpatient basis, there are times when a patient must be admitted to the hospital for a period of time. This may be due to a change in the patient's condition, the need for a specialized treatment, for additional observation or for any of a number of other circumstances.
Inpatient services are currently available at most UPMC Cancer Centers hospital-affiliated locations. Whether inpatient care is required for just a few days or for a longer period of time, UPMC Cancer Centers is committed to providing each patient with the finest care available during their stay.
