The radiotherapy department of the Beacon Hospital Cancer Centre is a joint program of Triad Hospitals Inc. and UPMC Cancer Centers. The center is located within Beacon Hospital, a private facility located in Dublin, Ireland’s capital and largest city.
Beacon Hospital Cancer Centre provides radiotherapy services, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), as part of the comprehensive cancer services available at Beacon Hospital. This facility recently took delivery of the first Trilogy Linear Accelerator in Ireland which will soon enable the department to perform stereotactic radiosurgery. This location, like the US-based network locations, is built on UPMC’s “hub and spoke” model, which gives patients being treated at Beacon access to the expertise and technology available at Hillman Cancer Center.
