UPMC Cancer Centers Presents, “A Reason to Hope: Advances in the Treatment of Breast Cancer”
PITTSBURGH, June 16 – As the second-leading cause of cancer-related death in women, breast cancer is diagnosed in more than 200,000 women each year. In the United States, one out of every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
In order to further educate women on breast cancer, The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Cancer Centers are presenting “A Reason to Hope: Advances in the Treatment of Breast Cancer” from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, at the Comprehensive Breast Center at UPMC Passavant Cranberry, 3 St. Francis Way, Building 3, Suite 103, Cranberry Twp., Pa.
Mary Beth Malay, MD, assistant clinical professor and medical director of the Comprehensive Breast Center at UPMC Passavant Cranberry and assistant professor of surgery in the division of surgical oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, will present the lecture.
The talk is one in a series of cancer lectures sponsored by UPMC Cancer Centers for patients, their families and the public.
