Physician at UPMC Cancer Center, Steubenville Receives Excellence in Patient Care Award

PITTSBURGH, Aug 23 – M. Pervaiz Rahman, MD, a medical oncologist at UPMC Cancer Center, Steubenville, has been honored with the Leo H. Criep Excellence in Patient Care Award from the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) and UPMC Cancer Centers. Dr. Rahman, board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine, is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

The Leo H. Criep award is given annually to a health care provider at UPCI and the UPMC Cancer Centers who exhibits a strong commitment to improving patient care.

Dr. Rahman received his initial training in medical oncology at The Royal Australian College in New Zealand. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, followed by a fellowship in medical oncology at Georgetown University
