UPMC Presents “Focus On Men's Health” Sept. 14 in Homestead, PA
PITTSBURGH, September 12 – Prostate cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer diagnosed in men in the United States, second only to skin cancer. It affects men of all ages, races and ethnic groups, but occurs most frequently in men age 55 or older. When discovered early, prostate cancer is 100 percent curable.
Experts in prostate cancer prevention, smoking cessation and men's health from UPMC Cancer Centers and UPMC McKeesport have joined to sponsor, “Focus on Men's Health,” from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 14, at Dave & Buster's at the Waterfront in Homestead. Speakers include Kevin M. Kane, MD, medical oncologist at UPMC Cancer Center at UPMC McKeesport; Susan M. Rakfal, MD, radiation oncologist, UPMC Cancer Center at UPMC McKeesport; and Stephen V. Jackman, MD, urologist and surgeon, University of Pittsburgh Physicians department of urology.
