Go Pink! Panera Bread Fundraiser to Benefit Breast Cancer Patients on Thurs, Oct 1, 2009
Pittsburgh, PA, September 28, 2009 – On October 1, Panera Bread, the Young Women's Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation (YWBCAF), and Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation are asking for your support by purchasing a pink ribbon bagel. Panera Bread features its special ribbon-shaped bagel throughout the month of October, with a portion of proceeds going to a different breast cancer charity each day. On the 1st, proceeds will benefit the YWBCAF, which supports the Women's Cancer Program at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC. For more information on the foundation, visit the web site at www.youngwomensbreastcancerfoundation.com.
In addition to the good cause and good bread, there's another reason to buy some Pink Ribbon Bagels on Thursday. To provide further enticement and support YWBCAF, stars from "Guiding Light" and Brenda Waters of KDKA will be making special appearances at some participating locations. For more information, please see www.youngwomensbreastcancerfoundation.com/panera-goes-pink-2009.html.
