Eugene N. Myers, MD
Eugene N. Myers, MD is professor and Eye & Ear Foundation chair of the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and director of the Oral Cancer Center of Discovery at the University of Pittsburgh. He did his residency training at Harvard's Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and a one-year fellowship in head and neck surgery with Dr. John Conley in New York City.
Dr. Myers' own clinical interest in otolaryngology has been largely associated with the management of tumors of the head and neck. He has written over 240 articles and has published several books, the most notable of which is Cancer of the Head and Neck together with Dr. James Y. Suen.
Dr. Myers is past president of the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Laryngological Association, the American Head and Neck Society and the Pan American Association of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Myers currently serves as coordinator for international affairs of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation and International Editor of the journal, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
