Overview
UPMC Cancer Centers’ David C. Koch Regional Cancer Therapy Center provides regional chemotherapy for patients with cancer that has advanced beyond surgical cure but is still limited to an organ or region of the body.
Regional perfusion of chemotherapy delivers higher concentrations of chemotherapy without the side effects, offering an improved chance of response. UPMC’s program is a national referral site for patients with:
- regionally confined metastatic tumors to the liver
- peritoneal carcinomatosis
- advanced tumors of the extremities
- tumors involving the pleural cavity
Information on treatments for specific cancers is listed on our Patient Services page.
