The Koch Center is a resource for
investigating new drugs,
new techniques, and
new equipment in HIPEC.
Despite the successes of HIPEC treatments, they have not been generally applied to patients, partly because of a lack of training among cancer specialists. The David C. Koch Regional Cancer Therapy Center functions as a training center for established surgeons with an interest in these procedures, as well as for fellows in surgical training programs and surgical cancer fellowship programs. This program will provide the opportunity to observe procedures, view instructional videos, attend formal training classes, participate in conferences for updates in HIPEC technology, and utilize Internet-based learning tools.
