Patient Interviews

Current and former patients at UPMC Cancer Centers share their experiences with prostate cancer.

Paul
A 72-year-old male who was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer in 1996. He received brachytherapy (prostate seed implants) and is currently in remission.
Frank
A 68-year-old male who was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 1990. He has received a variety of treatments, including hormone therapy and chemotherapies. He continues to receive treatment to keep his prostate cancer under control.
Jerry
A 64-year-old male who was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer in 1995. He received a nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy and is currently in remission.
Joe
A 54-year-old male who was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer in 1998. He received a non-nerve sparing radical prostatectomy and is currently in remission.
