Medical Oncology
Dr. Ramalingam is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Ramalingam specializes in the treatment of lung cancer, esophageal cancer and other thoracic cancers. He is also actively involved in development of new drugs for the treatment of cancer. Dr. Ramalingam has published several papers on lung cancer and is currently involved in the development and conduct of innovative clinical trials intended to improve the outcome for patients with lung cancer. He has received several awards including the prestigious Paul H. Ruble award for the 'Teacher of the Year' at Wayne State University. Dr. Ramalingam serves on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the University of Pittsburgh and also in the Scientific Review Committee at the UPCI.
