Surgical Oncology
Dr. Moser is Co-Director of the UPMC Pancreatic Cancer Center and Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is an N.I.H.-funded basic scientist and holds a dual appointment in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology. His expertise is in the treatment of complex pancreatic and biliary diseases, including pancreatic cancer, chronic pancreatitis, and biliary strictures. Dr. Moser is the Principal Investigator of two clinical trials involving chemotherapy and radiation for patients with pancreatic cancer and has written extensively on pancreatic and biliary diseases. Dr. Moser performs all surgical techniques related to pancreatic disease, including minimally-invasive surgery for the pancreas and advanced surgical techniques for removing locally-advanced pancreatic tumors.Dr. Moser is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, Society of University Surgeons, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and SAGES.
