Surgical Oncology
Mary Beth Malay, MD, specializes in breast surgery. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Surgical Oncology, affiliated with UPMC Cancer Centers. Since December 2004, she has also served as the Medical Director of the Cranberry Comprehensive Breast Center. She previously served as a surgical breast specialist at Allegheny General Hospital, starting in 2000.
Dr. Malay is licensed through the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Pennsylvania Society of Oncology and Hematology, Allegheny County Medical Society, American Society of Breast Surgeons, American Society of Breast Disease and the American Medical Society. Dr. Malay is also a member of the UPMC Medical Oncology Committee and The Pittsburgh Foundation Research Advisory Committee.
A native of Pittsburgh, Dr. Malay received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She then completed her degree in medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, from which she graduated Cum Laude. Her general surgery training was completed at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
