Dr. Posluszny received her PhD in clinical and health psychology in the spring of 2001 from the University of Pittsburgh and completed an internship at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic before joining the Behavioral Medicine Clinical Service at the Cancer Center in the fall of 2001. She obtained her license from the Pennsylvania Board of Psychologists in 2003. Dr. Posluszny has extensive clinical experience with patients confronting many types of cancer, including patients with head and neck cancer and patients receiving stem cell transplants for hematologic cancers, as well as their family members. She has also been highly involved with training staff, fellows, and interns to better understand the mental health needs of patients and their family caregivers. She sees patients at the Hillman Cancer Center and Shadyside Hospital.
