Dr. Stollings obtained her PhD in Counseling Psychology in 1997 from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Behavioral Medicine and Oncology at the Cancer Center and obtained licensure from the Pennsylvania Board of Psychologists in 1999 and joined the clinical service thereafter. Since then, she has provided individual and group counseling for people who have cancer, specializing in providing counseling to adult patients and their family members who are coping with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, pain, and other physical and emotional symptoms. Her approach to therapy is to provide individualized, problem-focused interventions in a positive, supportive, and collaborative atmosphere to help people regain balance in their lives. She has extensive experience with breast cancer and gynecologic cancer patients and sees outpatients in her office at the Magee-Womens Hospital.
