Medical Oncology
Roy E. Smith, MD, is a hematologist and medical oncologist at Hillman Cancer Center. Board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology, Dr. Smith received his doctorate in medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and masters of science from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where he served as the director of the comprehensive hemophilia program.
Dr. Smith has a particular interest in bleeding and thrombotic disorders. He presently serves as a special consultant to the Food and Drug Administration and as chair of the Central Investigational Review Board for the Cancer Therapy and Evaluation Program of the National Cancer Institute.
