At UPMC Cancer Centers, we pride ourselves on the level of cancer care we are able to offer to each patient. However, we understand that providing comprehensive patient care means more than just treating a patient for his or her disease. UPMC is committed to treating the whole person and every aspect of his or her disease with the most comprehensive cancer care available.
UPMC Cancer Centers offers an array of education and support services for patients. A cancer information and referral service, staffed by oncology nurses and social workers who are able to answer cancer-related questions, is accessible via a toll-free telephone number or an online form through our Web site.
Numerous education programs and services are also available to patients, their families and the general public. Patients may borrow cancer-related educational resources from the Patient/Family Education Center at the Hillman Cancer Center, or for patients and their families looking to meet and talk with others sharing similar cancer situations, an online cancer-related support groups database is available with information on groups available through UPMC Cancer Centers and UPMC locations.
For more information about any of the services available at UPMC Cancer Centers, please call the UPMC Cancer Centers Information and Referral Service at 412-647-2811 or send us an e-mail via "Ask a Question Online."
